Meet Donna Laderoute
Registered Clinical Social Worker RCSW
Welcome! I work with children (6+), adolescents adults couples and families. My therapist journey began in the school system where I had the opportunity to work along side teachers and parents. Since then, I have worked in day programs with neurodivergent clients and those with a diagnosis and their families. Many of my clients were dealing with personality disorders, self compassion issues, addictions and emotional dysregulation. Facilitating parent groups was rewarding as I could learn from all families and we could exchange parenting strategies. Watching parents support other parents through the process of teaching their children to mentor their brain and energy is exciting.

I employ evidence-based theory along with human development as my foundation. I draw deeply from body centered work as our bodies hold memories, patterns and attachment injuries that can override the best of intentions.
I use many practise modalities and have found that they can be used in combination with each other. I am trained in EMDR, Emotionally Focused individual, couple and family therapy, Gottman couples therapy, family and systems therapy, DBT, CBT, internal family systems and parts work, grief, addictions and parenting the neurodivergent child. Attachment theory is woven throughout these interventions as well as the ability to understand and regulate emotions to facilitate communication.

Upon request, I also offer Christian counselling as part of a faith-integrated approach to therapy.
