Meet Nadia Sokoloski
M.A., Registered Psychologist
My passion is helping individuals, discover/re-discover who they are, the skills they possess, resources they hold and regain their identity, discover freedom, heal past hurts, and recognize the possibilities of the future. I see my role as walking along-side individuals as they gather skills, insight, direction, healing and comfort through whatever journey life takes them on; ultimately empowering individuals to navigate situations confidently knowing they are welcome to come back for on-going support. Everyone can benefit from accessing mental health support and I believe that counselling at any stage of life can impact one’s wellness.
My main concern is to provide a safe place supplemented with competent, compassionate care to assist individuals in working towards their goals. I utilize an integrated framework, which draws from attachment, constructivist, gestalt, trauma-processing, and cognitive behavioural therapies. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is a highly effective trauma treatment. For more information on EMDR please visit emdrcanada.org.
I provide services for adolescents, adults, in both individual and couple settings.
I completed my Masters of Counselling at Trinity Western University in 2013, and am currently a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta.
