Meet Stacey
MC, Registered Psychologist
Welcome! It has been said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and counselling also begins like that. Deciding to start seeing a mental health professional is an important step and is frequently made when you are struggling or feeling overwhelmed. I applaud your courage in taking steps towards self-improvement by acknowledging those things in your life that no longer serve you!
My approach is primarily person-centered, which means we will meet wherever you are at. Relationship building during therapy is one of my priorities – it can be hard to walk through my door and share. I am privileged to be part of your journey, and I aim to allow you a collaborative, safe, supportive space to grow and change. You are a unique individual who is the expert on your life experiences. Sometimes people need to seek a safe and non-judgmental third party to allow the space to uncover their strengths and resiliency and achieve clarity to their unique challenges. I am a genuine, warm, empathetic, and compassionate therapist who can help you become the best version of yourself through self-discovery and personal growth.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta and the Canadian Psychological Association. I have experience and training in counseling children (aged 5+), adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My background includes more than 20 years of human service work for the government and non-profit agencies.
